WASHINGTON — The Coalition for a Prosperous America (CPA) today endorsed the China Trade Relations Act, legislation introduced by Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR), Jim Inhofe (R-OK), and Rick Scott (R-FL) that would strip China of its Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) status. Companion legislation was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Representative Chris Smith (R-NJ). CPA has long highlighted the scope and scale of China’s unfair trade practices and the devastation it has had on U.S. industrial capacity and millions of good-paying American jobs. CPA is the only national, bipartisan organization representing exclusively domestic producers across many sectors of the U.S. economy.
