On July 1st and 28th, 2009, respectively, three Falun Gong practitioners have been repatriated to China by the South Korean government. In the tenth year of the cruel persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), the truth of persecution on Falun Gong practitioner in China are well-known by many South Korean people. We are deeply shocked and sorry by the fact that the South Korean government, as a human rights and democratic country, made the repatriation of Falun Gong practitioners to China happened.

The South Korean government has also violated the act in its formal treaty of No. 1272 signed on February 8, 1995. On the 1st paragraph in Article 3 of the Treaty clearly states: “Any country should not repatriate a foreigner who would suffer a possible interrogates and tortures when returning to his/her own country.”

In the past decade, it’s been well-documented that more than 3200 Falun Gong practitioners have been persecuted to death. The persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP has extended from mainland China to overseas. Every Falun Gong practitioner is the target of the CCP. Reported by Wall Street Journal, the first Falun Gong victim, Ms. Chen Zixiu, who had been persecuted to death, was a normal elderly woman.

This petition is specifically aimed at some of the South Korean government officials who do not know the truth of persecution and are coerced by the Chinese Communist regime to repatriate Falun Gong practitioners to China. Let us work together to bring an end to China’s brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners as early as possible!
