I have learnt that the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and European Democrats (EPP-ED), the largest political group, is go ing to propose an urgent resolution which was mainly drafted by Edward McMillan-Scott MEP who is Vice-President of the European Parliament and leader of Boycott Beijing campaign.

I believe this would put strong pressure on China to rethink their violent crackdown against underground Christians, Tibetan Buddhists, dissidents, h uman rights activists and others who are considered subversives by the Communist Government. I am hoping that the Parliament could somehow use this o pportunity to help those innocent people who are spending another freezing winter in prison for their faith.
