(Photo cridited to APPPB) The military regime has extend one more year detention for Burmese Democracy leader and 1991 Noble Peace Prize Laurent Daw Aung San Suu Kyi last Friday, bringing a total of four years house arrest in consecutive since 2003 and a total of 11 years since 1989. Approximate a thousand of supporters gathered near her home in Rangoon on May 27, 2007 during the occasion of 17th Anniversary of 1990 elections. Thereafter, they marched to the most famous pagoda – Shwedagon. However, a large number of pro-military people blocked the proceeding and tried to instigate violence. In order to avoid confrontation and violience, Pro-democracy activists turned back to the National League for Democracy (HQ) and continued to hold a gathering, shouting “Free Aung San Suu Kyi” slogan.
